Where do you rank? Are you in the upper to middle class? Are you afraid of being looked at as lower class? Why is that?
Being humble is a funny thing. Some look at humility as a weakness. How the world sees humbleness and how God sees it are two totally separate things.
What does it mean to be humble? The Dictionary says to be humble means that one is of a low scale or hierarchy; that person is not proud, not arrogant or assertive. And Humility is a state of being humble.
The Fearless factor for today is Proverbs 22:4 "Humility and the fear of the Lord, bring wealth, honor and life."
Life is a test run for the things yet to come. God wants to bless those that serve him, that is where the wealth, honor and life part of the promise comes into play. Before we can serve him we need to know our place. We are all the same in God's eyes. We are all upper class to him, He doesn't look at our W-2 to see our worth. Remember Jesus used 12 ordinary men. But we need to also remember that He is God. The Creator of all things, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, The Alpha and Omega. Just because we are Christians saved by our Savior Jesus Christ, we need to be careful of how we act. If we are not careful we could be seen as proud, arrogant, in other words holier than thou.
To be a witness to others we need to humble ourselves, be in awe of who we serve, because let us not forget it was our sins that nailed Jesus Christ to the cross, not just the ones of our saved and unsaved friends.
Be Fearless and Quiet No More,
Your Brother in Christ,
