I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! Have you ever felt this way? Have you ever cried out to the Father, I need your help. I know I need it but why am I so afraid to ask for it. I need His help daily, so why don't I just "Ask Seek and Knock" (Matt. 7:7). Is it that I am afraid I will get what I ask for? Am I afraid that God will answer my prayer but not in the way I wanted. The Fearless Factor for today is this, Hebrews 13:6 "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do?"
Let's break this fearless factor down. (1) "The Lord is my helper"...The Lord is promising to do one of two things. Help us through the current situation or help us get around it. He will not give us something that He can't help us through or around. Why is that??? Because there is nothing that God can not do. (2) "I will not be afraid" This is a statement of faith. The author of Hebrews is unknown, but this person is standing on the promise that he is not alone. God is with Him. (3) "What can man do?" He understands the glory and power and majesty of the Almighty. That He was and is and is to come. Man has nothing on God, so why even worry about it. What can man do that God can't undo!!!
Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." Help me I am sick. Good news! Jesus is still in the Miracle Healing business, Just ask Darren Lowman's Dad! Lord Help me I am hungry. Help is around the corner. He is still in the feeding 5000 business, just go to a men's shelter any day of the week. Lord, I am far from perfect, help me get me life back on track. Here is the best news of all. He is still in the Savior business, just ask any sinner at church.
Maybe it's time for your to cry out Abba Father. He wants to make a difference in our lives. We just need to let him in.
Just remember, "Jesus doesn't live in a rundown building. When you ask Him into your heart, He is going to redecorate" - Trey Ore 10/2/07
