Fearless-Factor - Exodus 4:11-12

Who am I? I am just a man. I am nothing in the big picture. But the exciting news is about to come. The story of Moses is one we all know. There have been movies about him, cartoons and countless sermons in church about this man named Moses. Moses is a great story, but this is not a great story of just Moses, but a Greater story on who God is. In Exodus, Moses asks God his name. God answers in two words, I AM. It has taken me years to understand this. I AM ... This is the present tense of "to be". God is telling Moses and us that He is Forever Present. I AM the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I AM the God of Moses and I AM God TODAY. I haven't gone any where. I AM Here!!! Moses was nervous to do what God asked him because of his past in Egypt. Moses was a murderer, this is bad crime in any culture or time. Then to top it off, Moses wasn't a public speaker, he stuttered and spoke slow. How is God going to us him? The Fearless Factor for today is Exodus 4:11-12 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." We are so worried about being ready to serve. As you have heard before, God does not call the equipped, He Equips the called. God chose a stuttering, old, murderer. Jesus called 12 ordinary men. God has also called you. Exodus 3:12 states "And God said, I will be with you and this will be a sign to you that it is I who have sent you." For us to do anything extraordinary God must be involved, He has promised to be with us. When God is with us, we are a force to be reckoned with. Be Fearless and Quiet No More. Your Brother in Christ, Trey Ore
