Fearless-Factor Matthew 8:26

You ever forget? I do daily. I forget that everywhere I go, God is not far away. When the world starts throwing me curve balls, I want to run and hide. What am I so afraid of?
The same thing happen with the disciples. They were with Him everyday. They walked with Him, they talked with Him, they got to put their arms around Him. But even they forgot who they were hanging out with. Jesus was no ordinary man, they knew this. They saw Him heal the sick, they saw Him preach the Word, He knew things about them when they were alone. But still they didn't know Him. But they were about to see a side of Jesus they would never forget. While in a boat, in the middle of a storm, they were terrified. They thought they were going to all die from drowning.
The Fearless Factor verse of the day is Matthew 8:26 "You of little faith, why are you so afraid." Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the water and all was calm. They only comment that these men could think of was, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him."
That is exactly right, even the winds and the waves obey him. Roman 8:38 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, NOR ANY POWER, neither height nor depth, NOR ANYTHING IN ALL CREATION, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Why are we afraid if Jesus has the power to heal the sick, feed the multitude, calm the stormy waters. Jesus is the answer to all that ails you. So Fear Not, Jesus has our back. The storm may get rough but think of it as a faith building reminder that He is God.
Be Fearless, and Quiet No More.
Your Brother in Christ,
Trey Ore
