Fearless-Factor - Mark 5:36

Do you believe in Jesus? Or do you believe the world? Do you believe in the power of Jesus or are you afraid of what the world might think if you speak about it? Jesus is still doing miracles today! Do you talk about the ones in your life? Do you believe? There once was a powerful city official who had a daughter that was dying. With this dismal diagnosis he decided to travel to a near by city by himself to see the greatest physician known to man in person. When he arrive the Physician was preparing to speak at a local gathering when the father pleaded with the physician to come and see his daughter. She was dying and he was his only hope. The physician dropped everything and proceeded to this city officials house. A caravan of people followed to see what this physician was going to do. He had no tools, no assistant, no x-rays and no diagnosis. What could this world renown physician do to help this girl. The daughter's father truly believed that this man was her only hope of survival. He had to believe this physician could save his daughter. He did what every good father would have done. He went to the best doctor that he knew of and that he could find. As he got closer to the house, a few man come out and told the father his request of the great physician was in vain for his daughter died while he was gone. Can you imagine the feeling this father must have had. He did everything he could. He went to the only person that could save his daughter and she died before the great physician had a chance to do the thing He does best. Save Lives. The father turned to the physician, with tears and dismay from the news he just received and was speechless. The Physician, put His arm around the father in his angst and dismay and said "Don't be afraid; just believe." As they walked through the door, everyone was crying and wailing. The commotion in this house was mind-boggling. The physician said "Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead, but asleep." The tears turned to laughter at this so-called physician. Does this doctor not know death when he sees it? The physician walk right past the entire group, into the room when the child was and said "Little Girl, I say to you, get up!". Immediately the girl stood up. Now your first thought my be this is a great sci-fi movie. But, this is a true story! You can read it for yourself. It is just a small part of the #1 book sold every year. It can be found in Mark 5:21-43. The Great Physician is Jesus Christ and he is still in the Saving Lives business. This story may seem so hard to believe in today's society, but when we read it in the Bible, some how it makes since and encourages. Jesus Christ has not changed. He is the same yesterday as He is today and Tomorrow. He is still Saving Lives. The Fearless Factor for today is Mark 5:36 "Don't be afraid, just believe." Be Fearless and Quiet No More.
