Fearless-Factor - 1 Peter 3:14

When people look at you do they see something different? Do they see something in your life that makes them question who they are? I am not talking about keeping up with the Jones'. I am talking about what sets you apart from non-believers. As Christians we are always going to be under the microscope by the world. They will constantly look for ways to see if you will crack under pressure. Christ is what sets me apart. Christ is the reason, I have nothing to fear. The Fearless Factor for today is 1 Peter 3:14 "But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear: do not be frightened." Verse 15 continues to say, "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have." Psalms 62:5 "My hope comes from Him." I am not currently dealing with any health issues that could lead to dying at an early age. I am not old enough to think that my worldly time in near. But today I was reminded on what life is all about. It is not about the fancy cars or the big house, the big bank accounts or the multiple investments that could lead to early retirement. I was reminded that my only purpose here is to tell others about the love of Christ. When my Paternal Grandfather died, I was heart broken. I was 3,000 miles away and couldn't get home for the funeral. I was able to see him two weeks earlier. He told me and my family he wasn't afraid to die. He was ready to go home. This was a man that went in for a routine biopsy and came out to live his last days on a breathing machine. This was unexpected, but he had his answer ready. He was ready to go home and to be with Christ. No tears were shed in front of me. No fear came from this 76 year old man. He knew he was dying and wasn't afraid. He had an answer for everyone that came across his path. I am ready to go home to see my wife again and my Jesus. Are you that ready? Are you able to place your trust in the Lord, and ... Be Fearless and Quiet No More.
Your Brother in Christ,
Trey Ore
