Fearless-Factor - Judges 6:12 and 23

Are you afraid to do what God asks you to do? What is holding you back? Sometimes when God asks us to do something we are unsure if we are really hearing from God. We ask so many questions that we sometimes miss the great opportunity to do something extraordinary for God. In life only God can transform the ordinary into extraordinary. I have been look back over an opportunity I had to witness and I missed it. I was in line at Lowe's and I felt I was suppose to say something, just a cordial hello, which would have opened the door to speak to this person. Then something happen to me that has never happened before...I opened my mouth and nothing came out. I Trey Ore had nothing to say. My vocal cords froze up and I couldn't speak. For some reason I was afraid to talk to this person. Would this person think I was a freak? What was going to happen to me if I spoke. I walk out of the Lowe's and got in my car and I was so disappointed with myself. Here was an opportunity to speak to a person and possibly witness and I missed it. I sat in my car and thought should I go back in? I struggled with this. Did I truly hear the voice of God telling me to speak to this person. I tell you this story because all of us wonder like Gideon did, is God really wanting to use me. Yes, He wants to use all of us, but we need to be as my good friend Todd Perry puts it "Available". Of course we are afraid to do the things God has called us to do. We are the created and He is the Creator. He knows what we are capable of and what HE is capable of. When we get the chance to do something extraordinary for God, it will be something we can not do on our own. To quote Todd Perry again It will be a "God-Sized project" not a me sized project. But He builds us up first, like a conversation in Lowe's. Now this may seem a bit extreme. You may be thinking to yourself "come on Trey it was a line at Lowe's". Yes, exactly. It was a line at Lowe's, I wasn't going to die, but if I am not obedient with the small things when am I going to advance to the next level. I want to be used. I want a speaking role in God's movie. Are you a Role Player in the movie God is starring in or are you the person just watching the movie from the seats. Are you ready to be a modern-day Gideon? The Fearless-Factor for today is Judges 6:12 and 23 "The Lord is with you, mighty warrior." 23 "Peace, Do not be afraid, You are not going to die." In Christ death has been conquered, there are no consequences when you are being obedient to God. How do you know it is God? Read His Word. Learn God's language and see how He speaks to His people.
